If all goes right this post should show up on my posterous site, blog, and twitter account. Not sure if this is something worth using but if you are looking for a way to post to all of your social outlets at the same time this may be good for you. You start by setting up all of your social accounts (wordpress, blogger, twitter, facebook, youtube etc..) and then you simply send an email to your posterous email address (post@posterous.com) and your message gets posted to all of your social sites. You can even post to specific accounts by changing the email address (send an email to twitter@posterous.com to post just to twitter). Looks like an interesting service. Give it a shot at posterous.com and let me know what you think.

Ok, maybe not the world but it will definitely mark the end of email as we currently know it. Lars Rasmussen is a Google engineer who set off to create the company’s next big product. Him and his team asked themselves what email would look like if it were invented today and Google Wave is what they created, and quite honestly it looks amazing. Instead of trying to explain to you exactly what a wave is in my own words I’m going to steal a few from one of my favorite sites Lifehacker to help explain:

What is a wave?

A wave is equal parts conversation and document. People can communicate and work together with richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.

A wave is shared. Any participant can reply anywhere in the message, edit the content and add participants at any point in the process. Then playback lets anyone rewind the wave to see who said what and when.

A wave is live. With live transmission as you type, participants on a wave can have faster conversations, see edits and interact with extensions in real-time.

- Lifehacker

Confused? Here is the video Google released of their keynote when they revealed Google Wave to the world. It’s long but if your at all interested in the direction the internet and communication is headed in the not so distant future I promise you it is worth it. Keep in mind that this will be released to all later this year.

Since I’ve started my new life as a married man with a wife and a job I’ve been introduced to lots of new stuff, and the way I used to view certain things is quickly changing. A computer, for example, is no longer just a music downloading machine that searches random things on the web and occasionally types up a college essay. It is now the ultimate communication device that sends hundreds of messages back and forth to locations all over the world to get the most mundane, yet still important, tasks completed. Overnight the task of keeping my computer organized went from a fun thing I did every so often to something imperative. Organization makes you more efficient and efficiency keeps jobs (though maybe not in the current economic condition). As I come up with ideas or hear about services that I feel are beneficial to desktop users in the workplace or at home I want to be able to share them with people. That’s why I’ve decided to start the end user . A blog dedicated to sharing different tips on how to get the most out of our computers. It’s called the end user because that’s basically what we all are, we don’t create software or computer hardware we simply use it…we are the end users. I don’t really know how dedicated I’ll be to keeping it full of content but we will see how it goes. I’m looking for collaborators so if you’re interested let me know.

As you can see from Kim’s previous post I’m somewhat of a nerd. I’m pretty in to technology, computers, and finding things on the internet that make life easier or are just plain cool. So you may see posts from time to time of cool things that I (or Taylor, my partner in crime) have found that I feel like sharing with all of you. Today it is Dropbox. With Dropbox you can store all of your important documents (2 GB free storage) up in the cloud and sync them between all your computers via lightweight clients for Windows and Mac OS X. When I drop something into my dropbox on one of my computers, say my Macbook, it automatically uploads to the web, where I can access it through Dropbox’s web interface. What makes it even better is that it then instantaneously copies the files into my dropbox on my PC. Its works seamlessly and is pretty freaking cool. If you aren’t understanding me watch this video and you’ll get the idea.

Dropbox is perfect for sharing files with other people. You can set up share folders and specify who you want to access your files. For example, when Goot drops a picture into our shared folder it automatically downloads into my dropbox. Pretty cool. Give it a try. It’s free and setup only takes a minute.

My brilliant yet humble husband was highlighted on his favorite blog the other day! I’m so excited! We laughed a lot when we read it because it’s just funny to see Nick referred to as “Espinosa” throughout the post.

The topic is pretty interesting too! Nick created this form, using google docs, to organize and track our spending. I was just thinking today how recording what I spend really makes me think about my purchases more. We’re so thankful because God has blessed us with a lot and we want to take that seriously and be wise with what He trusts us with. We’ve been going to First Baptist and the pastor there always reminds us that heaven is not in a recession. (But boy is it clear that the economy is changing! The news is really hard to watch!) It’s a challenge but a relief to believe that all we have is actually God’s and that He’ll still take care of us even when we learn the hard way that we can’t rely on money. Nick and I were talking about how if you look at money as your god, it’s really failing you, so it’s good to have a faithful God.

Back to Nick’s big break: I know there are lots of ways to keep track of finances, but so far this has really worked for us! Here’s the link in case you want to check it out:
